Solv Advisors is a Consulting firm Head Quartered in Ottawa, that provides small to Medium-Sized Enterprises (SME’s) with the right tools to grow and thrive in a competitive business landscape.  

About the role:

Solv Advisors is currently seeking a Consulting Analyst to join our team.  

In this position, you will be analyzing small to medium-sized businesses, determine the financial impact of ownership decision-making. You will conduct industry benchmarking, and also analyze corporate structure and business planning.  

Successful applicants should be team players who not only understand how to identify a new market opportunity but also know what it takes to lead a team forward and realize that opportunity. We’re especially looking for someone with great communication skills, as you’ll be expected to reach out to and interact with prospective clients, top business executives, and clients on a daily basis. Preference will be given to candidates who plan to stay and grow with our company for the foreseeable future. 

Responsibilities

• Assisting with day-to-day project activities such as primary and secondary market research
• Create meaningful insights out of data to assist Advisory clients
• Synthesizing key findings from market research in a concise manner
• Development of a strategic plans to facilitate rapid SME growth

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree Program in Commerce, Administration or Economics (High GPA is an asset)
• Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
• Self-motivated individual with a desire to do his/her best every day
• A demonstrable passion for business and understanding market trends
• Excellent writing competency and communication skills
• Work experience in a fast pace and professional setting
  
• Comfortable with presenting and public speaking is an asset
• Previous experience in consulting or business strategy is an asset
• Strong problem-solving ability
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
